  3. CASA's Superhero 5K and Kids’ 1K Fun Run

    September 6, 10:30 AM @ Hempfield Park & Athletic Complex

    CASA of Westmoreland, Inc. is hosting its first Superhero 5K and Kids’ 1K Fun Run on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Hempfield Park & Athletic Complex. This charity 5K race is being held in partnership with Hempfield Township’s 16th Community Days to provide much needed funding to our CASA program.

    Adults and kids of all ages are encouraged to dress up like their favorite superhero as they participate in this 5K/ Kids 1K. Awards will be given out for best costumes and top runners at the conclusion of the event.

  9. Scottdale Fall Festival

    September 19 - September 21 @

    The Festival is a three day celebration that has many events such as a dog show, live entertainment, a 10K / 5K race, ethnic foods, children's area, a teen dance, and much more. The festival is held at the Gazebo in Scottdale on the corner of Pittsburgh street and Spring Street. The festival is always held the third weekend in September. The Scottdale Fall festival is one of three major festivals the Scottdale community has to look forward to. The Scottdale Fall Festival is a part of the Laurel Highlands Visitors Bureau.
